Within trotting distance of the Kelpies, Laurieston Bowling Club has been at the heart of the both the sporting and social life of the village since its inauguration in 1913.

Our newly refurbished function suite and lounge can accommodate up to 140 guests and are available to hire - free of charge. As is our committee room.

And we extend a warm hand of friendship to new members by offering a 50% discount on first year membership fees.

Bar Hours & Rules

The bar is open Fridays from 6pm and weekends from 1pm.

You must enter by the main door and give your name and number to the bar staff.

As of 8 August, we are trialling ordering at the bar: please use designated lane, with no more than three people in the queue.

Bunnet Night

Congratulations to Stephen Peasley and new member Robert Derks (pictured) whose 10 shot victory earned them a pair of steak pies at the second "bunnet night" of the season.

Same time, same place next week - bar open from 6, draw made at 6.30, on the green at 6.45.

Singles Competitions

It has been agreed to run several single-handed Competitions every weekend in August.

If you would like to play, please add your name to the sheets in the locker room and adhere to the following guidelines:

Find The Joker

From Saturday, 8 August we are resurrecting our weekly Find The Joker competition.

The Rules of which are: £1 per shot, winning ticket receives £10 and a chance to "Find The Joker" and claim the jackpot.

If no joker is found, the prize money rolls over to the following week.

As part of his year-long fundraising activities for SAMH, Grant Williamson is aiming to climb Ben Nevis seven times in seven days.

Those who decide to join will be offered a 100% discount on membership fees for the 2020 season (subject to committee approval) and a 50% discount for 2021.
